Professor Jang Young Deok, a co-researcher at the K-Academic Diffusion Research Center under the Inha Center for Internationa Studies (ICIS), introduced the overall K-Academic Diffusion Project including how to use K-MOOC courses at an international academic conference with Southwest University in Chongqing, China, on June 7^th. Also, he went to the Chongqing Provisional Government to hold a round table designed to spread Korean studies. In addition, he visited Korean Research Institute under the University of Southwest Foreign Studies to discuss the spread of Korean studies with Cho Cham-hoon, director of its University of Foreign Studies.

Since Korean studies in China are mostly concentrated in large cities such as Beijing and Shanghai, or in the northeastern and coastal regions, the spread of Korean studies in inland regions such as Chongqing and Sichuan was relatively difficult. This visit provided a new opportunity for the spread of Korean studies in inland China, and so we plan to continue solid cooperation through MOUs with Southwest University in the near future.
