The K-Connectors, operated by the Korean Studies Dissemination Research Center at Inha University's Institute of International Relations, are a public diplomacy group committed to promoting Korean studies through various activities.
Among the ten active teams, the 'Gongmuwon' team conducted the 'Dive into Korea' project in July and August, aiming to enhance international students' deep understanding and positive perception of Korean studies through diverse experiences related to Korea.
Before officially launching the project, the Gongmuwon team conducted a survey to identify the challenges faced by international students in Korea.
Team leader Son Dahyun (majoring in Political Science and International Relationship) noted that the biggest issues were adapting to Korean culture and the lack of interaction with Koreans. She mentioned that international students were eager for projects that would allow them to experience and understand Korean culture.
The Dive into Korea project included an orientation session where the team provided an overview of Korean studies and promoted the K-MOOC (Korean Massive Open Online Course) managed by the Korean Studies Dissemination Research Center. Cultural experiences were also part of the project, such as visiting a traditional folk village to explore traditional culture and participating in traditional games in Insadong.
