The K-Connectors, operated by the Korean Studies Dissemination Research Center at Inha University's Institute of International Relations, are a public diplomacy group committed to promoting Korean studies through various activities.
Among the ten active teams, the 'IKSS (Inha Korean Studies Supporters)' team conducted a Korean language education project aimed at international students.
The IKSS team identified that many international students face difficulties in their daily lives and cultural activities in Korea due to their limited proficiency in the Korean language. This language barrier led to challenges in communication outside of school and restricted their ability to fully enjoy Korean culture.
In response, the IKSS team offered opportunities for students to learn Korean in an enjoyable way. They organized activities such as learning Hangul consonants and vowels through hands-on experiences, where students could practice writing their names on bookmarks.
Additionally, the team produced and uploaded practical Korean language video content covering useful expressions like 'buying products at a convenience store' and 'asking for directions.'
This allowed students to directly experience and internalize Korean culture by applying the phrases and words they learned through cultural activities.
