On Monday, February 9, 2026, Director Jin-young Lee of the Institute of International Relations at Inha University visited the University of Queensland in Brisbane and held a meeting with Director Dong-bae Lee of the Korean Studies Department and the Korean Research Institute.

 During the meeting, the Institute introduced the objectives, key components, and future directions of the K-Academic Outreach Initiative. This initiative aims to enhance the global standing of Korean Studies by disseminating domestic academic achievements internationally and building a global academic network. In particular, it focuses on promoting academic exchange and expanding the international reach of Korean Studies through cooperation with leading overseas universities and research institutions.

The visit served as an opportunity to explore potential areas of collaboration with the University of Queensland and to establish a foundation for sustained academic exchange in the future.
